First queens day in Amsterdam. Had to do this because I now live here and where better to celebrate the Queens birthday then in the capital city. Yes that's what I'm saying. Good weather, good company, so it was a great night and day.
Next year I'll go walk the markets earlier on, when the flea markets are on their bests.
Already two weeks ago it was again 'Museumnacht' in Rotterdam. When there's some cultural excitement going on in Rotterdam we -sister K. and niece M.- are always planning to go. Fun day.
Well well busy weeks. Hard times after a long Holiday, but oh-so-nice!
Saturday Melissa was asked to do another fashion show and so I showed her 'diamond dress' again. I made some backstage photos because of the nice room we were in. Together with M.'s great work it was perfect.
In the textile museum of Tilburg you can find some awesome expositions about how stuff's made today. M. and I enjoyed ourselves watching the beautiful materials and ways to edit these in good fabrics. The building was only beautiful by its self due to the old tools and machinery.
Another edition of Mode Marché in Rotterdam. Melissa and me where in. Many designers offer their pieces for less. That makes it even better to feel the fabrics and try the best on. I ended up with a small bag intended for my toothbrush and stuff. Vlieger en van Dam made it. Last year I saw their work too, but they hadn't these toiletry bags yet. Later I bought these Levi's shorts which is custom made by Flying A. And last but not least a beautiful black vintage see-through-blouse.
Before the event started we went for lunch with sister K. And later on we wanted to go visit some shops but due to 'Pinksteren' not one shop was open. So we bought some cookies and ice-cream. And at the end we ate some popcorn at the cinema while enjoying the movie, not a bad decision after all.
M. and I went to Anvers yesterday. We walked and walked and walked. Therefore we found some cute shops, ate chocolate/raspberry cupcakes and conquer the Belgium waffleees. They're the best. Here some random pics.
Another fashion show. Another common place to show Melissa's collection. It was a narrow but classy area.
In the first photo's you see Adrienne wearing Melissa's newest design. My favorite. It's a jumpsuit based on the local costumes in our county. The trousers are like super comfortable. Together with the open flower top I think it's a beautiful match.
Then in the afternoon we went to some boutiques. One with a ceiling covered with beautiful chandeliers and tables full of antique 'thingies'. Followed by a second hand shop where I bought a super nice bag.
